New dog control orders
Stroud District Council have made four new orders relating to dog fouling and dog control.
Alterations have been made to the Dangerous Dogs Act which place a much heavier burden of responsibility on the pet dog owner to prevent ant-social activity such as barking or chasing cats. Please read the press release by the Government.
Since 6th April 2016 all puppies over 8 weeks have had to be microchipped by law.
Any dog taking the Puppy Foundation course, or the Bronze, Silver or Gold Good Citizen award must therefore be microchipped. Scanning of the chip will be part of the test.
It is a requirement of the club that all dogs, – both in obedience and agility classes – are vaccinated. We require proof of vaccination on joining a class.
Club members, please note your annual subscriptions are now due. Please pay promptly.
To order clothing
We have arranged with Goose and Gander Ltd. a selection of items and colours that can be ordered complete with our club logo. If you would like to order any, visit their site.
‘Bright / Royal Blue’ is our team colour which we use when competing, but if you want to order something to wear to training classes, any colour is fine.
Three Counties Starters League
Our Agility team has won the final in 2014 and 2015 and 2016. Please can all club members support their efforts.
